Great for the constant beating of "zombies" but a little disappointed in the inventory & weapons system. Over all a decent play.

Dead Rising presents an interesting mix of mission play and freeform exploring, with one catch: you're crammed in a mall full of the living dead. For those who only want to run around and chop zombies into pieces, this game delivers, though it runs a bit dry after a while. The mission mode is pretty nice, with side quests thrown in for good measure. Just ignore the walkie-talkie once in a while. It gets extremely annoying after 10 minutes or so.

Though Dead Rising may seem like a simple, mindless game when you first pick it up, it eventually reveals itself as a deeper experience. Tons of extras are packed into Willamette's shops, there are magazine power-ups and special drink mixes to be brewed, lots of clothing combinations, countless pictures to be taken and plenty of NPCs to be saved. This is my favourite game.

The difficulty is intense which is great, sick of seeing games that are so god damn easy to pass, it feels like you haven't accomplished anything. Though it does get ridiculously easy when you level up and unlock the Megablaster for killing like 50,000 zombies in one play thru.

A must play for those who like zombie games. It's old school difficulty may be off-putting for many, but the game has a pretty interesting story, and the gameplay is incredibly solid. Hundreds of weapons at your disposal, and thousands of zombies to dispose them on. Wacky getups and interesting food choices make this game a must have.

Love this game! I can spend hours just running around killing zombies. I can't wait for the next one to come out.

Had my console since launch and this remains one of the top 5 games on the system. First few playthroughs are hard as you are learning how the game works, but it's worth it. I feel people are too spoiled by easy games these days with their bitching about the save system and time limits.
