Dark Sector (360)

Dark Sector (360)

Man this game is really fun, but not for the faint of heart hehe, as you can cut your foes into pieces with the glaive, some sort of boomerang-like shuriken, and this is a very cruel weapon, specially against the poor human soldiers that want to eliminate you, the "infected". This is definitely a game I will come back to play again some day, just for the fun of the hero's superpowers.
Regarding the comment from the other user saying that there is no point to violence here, of course there is. The character is being hunted down for being infected, it is a battle for survival, if nothing else, and the game gets a lot better later on, when you have all powers. And no-one would say Gears of War, used in this user's example, is a light game, with no violence and gore. Of course this is just a game, as killing is not right for me, no matter what happens. That is why this a M-rated game, of course.
The story is not very interesting, as it lacks details to be sufficiently engaging, but that did not drive me away from the game.

  • I quit Dark Sector after the 3rd mission. When violence doesn't have a point in a video game, it's pointless, isn't it? The only cool part is where the main character first gets his glaive.

It's graphical style and combat system tries to sell it as another Gears of War, when really, I'd like to be playing Gears more than Dark Sector.

  • I actually thought that this game was going to be terrible because i bought it from blockbuster for seven dollars. I admit, the storyline is a bit shallow, but the gameplay is still amazing.
