The bottom line here is that Dance Dance Revolution 3 isn’t worth checking out if you’ve ever glanced at a DDR game before. It doesn’t change a single mechanic and only adds a few no-frills modes to justify the purchase. There is a bit of fun behind the structure of the quest and game modes but they’re presented terribly. DJ mode had potential but it is too convoluted for anyone but truly hardcore fans. In the end you’ll be playing the same competitive multiplayer modes as last year which begs the question: Why buy this one at all?
