It's an alright game, it's not too bad, but it's not outstanding either. For one thing, the AI is terrible, especially the soldiers on your side, they will run right into your line of fire almost always, they also tend to block your path behind you which makes it really difficult sometimes to run for cover when you're taking damage from heavy fire which always leave to cheap deaths. I also found that this game has more glitches than the rest of the COD series, I can think of a few times I would get stuck in places?!?! and I cannot move no matter how hard I try like for example, I was taking position behind this disabled half-track on the side of a hill but for some reason I got stuck between the hill and the half-track only to be at the mercy of the German soldiers firing their MP40s at me. A couple times occured when your teammates were suppose to kick the door open to progress to the next area, they didn't kick it down but rather just stay there doing nothing... The worst thing for me however, is the unskippable cutscenes, What the heck?!?! even worse is that if you save in the middle of the level without finishing it, turn the game off, then come back and reload the game, you have to sit through the opening cutscene for the level again before your check-point kicks in, this gets really annoying and unnecessary. Unless there is a way to skip it, *lol* if there is please tell me!
Now the Good stuff ;P I thought the controls were really polished, it was really cool and feels great really, I love how when the camera blurs whenever you try to zoom in on a target. The best part for me was the in-game storyline, although a little corny and lame sometime, it was really good, although I prefer "Big Red One" (Highly underappreciated) a lot better, it was still really good, you end up liking your squad ;D The care for detail in the game is also really good and I do enjoy it as well. Overall, CoD3 is probably my least favorite in the series, but that necessary doesn't mean it's a bad game, it's just an alright game, and that's not bad ;D
The worst of the Call of Duty games, but not bad. The single player was very short and easy for a call of duty campaign, coming from Call of Duty 2 this felt like half the fun. The multiplayer was wasn't bad, but wasn't great, the maps were very plain compared to Call of duty 2. Very easy achievements also, but if you like World war RPGs, this is a good play.
Great WWII-game. The first game ever I got/played on the Xbox 360.
+ Great gameplay
+ Great graphics
+ Pretty realistic
+ I like the system with checkpoints
- Hard to get the Achievments
- The story didn't really got me going on (but I did anyway)
Decent enough game but different multiplayer gameplay to the rest of the COD series. I bought it on release and gave up on the multiplayer do to lag issues. Not worth more than slightly above average rating, just don't expect COD4.
This game turned me on to the Call of duty series. Many people say this is the worst of the series but only when compared to the others in the series. The game still taught me how to last on veteran mode and it made me the Fps shooter I am today.
