Those looking for a game set in the Middle Ages will be disappointed. If, however, you enjoy a little (a lot) of sci-fi inbetween fun yet repetitive gameplay, then this is your game.
At first it is amazing, graphically breathtaking, and relatively fun. But after the initial amazement of the graphics it got boring quickly, eventually I only played it for the achievements. So if you are planning on getting this, either get it preowned or rent it if possible.
Assassin's creed really shines as a game. The story and game mechanics are both equally enjoyable. Controlling Altair is fairly easy to adapt to, and the game pace is a constant thrill ride. However at the same time, while the game supplies countless hours of fun and several goals to obtain. At points it can feel a bit repetitive. None the less, this is a great game and one that any action gamer should own.
this game kept my interest throughout and is one of the first games on the xbox 360 that i found pushed the so called next gen gaming to where it should be
A solid first effort. The controls aren't completely flawless, but good enough in most cases. Many people complain about the repetition, but I'm not easily bored so I'm OK with it.
This game is the biggest joke to have ever been created in the history of video games. It is nothing short of shovleware from the company that is the champions of shovleware Ubisoft.
The game is nothing more than a 1 level reapeated ad infinitum overly repetative padded out beta tech demo. This game has no redeeming qualities whatsoever! it is a joke and mess of a game.
Here is my review of it:
Story: What story! This has got to be flat out the worst story in the history of gaming! Some…
The story that makes Assassins Creed a true assassin's game makes it all more compelling to get into the action and finish your mission -- amazing game-play with great graphics!
With a deep story and interesting plot the game will hold your attention. The controls are tight and responsive, despite a steep learning curve, to some. With that being said, the game has quite a number of flaws. Prepare to grind! You will seemingly play the same mission about a dozen times. If you decide to take the ill-advised approach and wander around and go for 100% completion doing so will take MANY hours. Several acheivements are glitched or needlessly difficult, see "Conversationalist". And unlike "GTA: San Andreas" you can't…
It puts a good twist on a series like Hit man with the freedom of a sandbox like GTA. If you can get past the repetitive nature of this game the ending is a terrible cliff hanger leaving you wanting more. All in all a good game.
It's understandable why this game is so popular. It has a decent stealth mechanic, and a surprisingly fluid combat system. But long drawn out cut scenes (if that's what you'd call them), a pretty dull story, and repetitive gameplay and missions make for an experience that quickly begins to wear on you.
It's fun to play, nets a lot of achievement points on one playthrough, and is easy to pick up but difficult to excel in. Very balanced difficulty with intuitive controls make this medieval sandbox a great time to romp through.
A good game with really no replay-ability. The story is great and the voice acting, all except for Altair, are awesome. I still have no idea what the developers were thinking by having an American accent on a character in the ancient Holy Land. I know it's supposed to be as if it is Desmond, but, c'mon. Anyways, gameplay is solid for the first three or four assassinations, then it starts to become repetitive. Overall, if you like a good yarn, stick with it, but…
