Its is, besides its sequel, the most detailed mech game I have ever played. Its fun, competitive, and offers a limitless way to customize your mech. It also is updated by new regulation files that keep the game balanced. You can also choose by which set of regulations you play. This makes it so that you can be the judge of whether or not the new balances are good.

The Armored Core franchise celebrates its tenth anniversary this year. To have that kind of staying power, it’s clear Sega and FromSoftware know what this fan base wants, but although Armored Core 4 delivers its usual, expansive customization options, it isn’t enough to overlook weak single-player missions and lackluster visuals.

In my humble opinion the Armored Core series are what's right with gaming today. A terrific take on the otherwise slow-paced mech genre with more customization than you can shake a stick at. Single player is great, multiplayer exists. A gem of a game.
