Apparently, I need to get around to doing this someday or at least give this section a little more attention. However, this is quite the challenge when you are playing a ton of games like I do. Maybe perhaps when I need a break.

Anyway, I'm an old school gamer that grew up during the release of the NES and have normally updated to next gen/current systems within their initial release date or a few months after. With the number of games in my list and the various platforms that they are associated with, its not hard to tell that gaming is a large part of my life. I love gaming and the people who people associated with them. Doesn't matter if they are players, creators, or newbies coming in to the fold. During play, I'm often described as witty and energetic, almost carefree though I do have my competitive side when needed. I am normally on Xbox Live, under the same call sign, though I am beginning to give my other systems a little more love these days cycling through my PS2, Wii, DS, and 360.

Simply put: I'm a nerd and proud of it. Outside of gaming, my other true loves are Anime and meeting new people. I am attempting to become more active and known in the gaming community, particularly in the Colorado area. I want to review upcoming and past titles of games and create helpful videos of those games for my fellow gamers. I have also begun creating videos of a few games and uploading them to my Youtube channel: Mav-Central along with attempting to dabble in streaming video as a Mac user.

***(If anyone knows a workable flash encoder for Mac that works with upstream or Jtv, please let me know!)

I discovered Raptr during an XBL Community playdate and have since begun my attempt to become an active member of its community, which has been enjoyable for the most part. In addition to Raptr.com, I currently belong to two gaming organizations:The Emergence League, which is a nation-wide Gears of War focused group that mostly plays casually and for fun, and The Extra Fresh League which is a Colorado based league with a heavy focus on fighters. Raptr has made my coordination between these groups easier because of its syncing services with Live and Facebook, two places i'm usually active on.

So, thats me in a nut shell. Please feel free to kick back enjoy yourself, and take a gander over the links listed above. Also if you are looking for a serious gamer or simply someone to kick back and hang out with, toss me a message here, Live, or on Wii. I'm usually on one of the clients so let the good times roll.

More to come.

L4D2 is awesome. Just finished the first campaign and spent last night playing versus online. Played for a few hours.

    My thoughts on DJ Hero:

Unlike some overcritical people, I am able to separate the gaming world from the real world. I understand its not like real DJing, its a Guitar Hero or Rock Band type of GAME lol. Playing it does however make me want to stop and play my actual turntables quite often tho lol. Overall I think they did a good job of capturing the spirit of DJing, much like Guitar Hero is a game that captures the spirit of guitar playing. Its fun and challenging. Very happy with my purchase this morning.

    Ouch! xP

I've liked Megaman ever since that one for the PlayStation 1. The one where he never had his helmet on? Good times.

I actually really enjoyed watching NT Warrior. Maybe I'm just a sucker for cute cartoon guys. Or Megaman. I dunno.

Never actually watched a full episode of Megas XLR. Should I?

  • Yuugi said: Oct 10

I only really remember it because of how it kept replacing my favourite cartoon at the time, Megaman: NT Warrior. Sad times. ._.

  • Yuugi said: Oct 09

Oooh, okay. I'll check it out for sure.

Is your profile picture that cartoon...what was the name...Megas XLR?

  • Yuugi said: Oct 07

Yeah, that's the one. I had no idea how they could even call that Yu-Gi-Oh!. I'll definitely check out the DS and PSP ones. I'd love to play some! I don't mind lower graphics, so I'll probably get the DS ones when I have the chance. I love using the stylus! :D

I'll probably be playing RB2 in 30 minutes. I haven't played online in a long time, though, so that'll be fun. xD

Dungeon Dice Monsters looks like a lot of fun. I'd love to play Duel Monsters one day. I played a PS2 game, but it was nothing like the show. They made it into RTS! Are the DS and PSP ones at least like the show?

Ouran High School Host Club is awesome. They just came out with a dub as well, which is great!

Yeah, hopefully we can play something sometime! :D

Gonna see Zombieland when its out next week. Thanks for the reccomendation.

I love Yu-Gi-Oh!. Everyone says that Pokemon is better, but at least Yu-Gi-Oh! involves thinking. All they do in Pokemon is scream at their monsters to attack the enemy.

I have a lot of Duel cards, but I've never played the game before. I'd love to! I'd like to play the other one, too, but I don't remember the name of it. I think it was...dice monsters? I don't remember. It was near the end of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! manga.

I play quite a few games on the DS. I went online with it once, but haven't been able to again.

My top five would be Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist, Ouran High School Host Club, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and Yu-Gi-Oh!.

    Sure! I added you.

I liked them, the AI-buste has some diffrent stories(which is good) and the second one has a bunch of short stories that tie into the series.

  • Gamingtrek said: Oct 02

Yeah i LOVE the whole .hack series (Manga, Anime, Movie, Games, and books) XD.

  • Yuugi said: Oct 02

So-so!? It definitely should say awesome.

Your taste in games is fantastic! Especially the DS ones. It's not every day I see someone that likes Yu-Gi-Oh! (guilty pleasure!).

I love anime and games. What are some of your favourite anime?

    Have a good day! :D
