- AbsolutGrndZer0Hardcore in DefianceOct 12 2013 at 4:36am * Yeah, I almost got it on the Xbox, but then I realized that lately I never play my Xbox anymore because it's far easier to backup my saves and delete the game then get it again later if I want to go back to it and other such reasons why I'm just more and more becoming a PC gamer lately. Plus it's a lot easier to mod PC games, for example there's one really annoying bug in Dragon Age:Origins that Bioware never did fix, but a player did, plus she did the extra work to add in a fully voiced scene that Bioware left out due to time constraints. The script and all the necessary voice files is all there, it was just never finished. But, she finished it and her mod puts that scene in the game.

Raptr, even when searching for games won't pick it up. I will say it is a giant pain in the ass to have to manually add it since you can't even find the folder in which the DEFIANCE folder is in.

However at least as I understand it, even if something is free on the consoles, it still costs some money to submit it to Sony. So, unless Sony is willing to partner with Raptr and Trion to allow them to give Raptr Rewards without having to pay Sony's fees, it's not going to happen.

The only Difference I noticed is an age difference, with more "Fag" and "N------" calling on Xbox, and barely any communities on PS3, and both of those were only inside of specific games.

      demonprideAug 8 2013 at 4:03am via desktop app @whitetiger225 while your comment makes alot of sense it also is kinda redundent. back in the console wars how many people did you know that had a genisis or a snes. how many people did you know that had a 486. console set the mood for gaming to take off more then pc. at the time consoles were efficant and extremly popular due to there obtainability. pc gaming in comparison didnt really take off till consoles faired really well. now don't sit there and say oh but there was games on pc at the time of the console wars. yes i know that but it was no wheres near as popular then it was on console. i am not a fanboy of pc or console. but both have their place. fps's will always be best on pc because of the precision control of a mouse. but games such as rpg fighting games will always be better on console. using a paddle on a pc while it works. is a bit of a hypocrite as it was clearly a console thing that took off on pcs.

It would look even better on the PC if it was made with limitless specs. OBLIVION (2005) has to run on mid low graphics on a console for example. HDMI ensures high resolution quality, sure, but that does not mean that all games are designed to reach any kind of high potential in that regard. The truth of the matter is that games are limited by two things: Consoles (Without being able to upgrade the hardware, consoles have a deinitive ceiling of quality) and the AVERAGE caming computer. Now, you COULD just say "Computers fault" there, but most gaming computers running anything made in the past 5 years or so (which is most of them now) completely blow away the quality you can get from consoles. Most AAA game releases will often completely knock down visual quality because consoles simply can't handle the full potential.

Also, price IS a big selling point to consoles. However, beyond price, PC tends to be superior in many ways. To further that, I can connect nearly any kind of controller, whether it be PS3 or XBOX, flight stick, arcade pad, etc... to my PC. While I game, I can window the game and chat with friends, check things on websites, watch TV or a movie... the list kinda goes on. Current gen consoles can't offer that kind of workload and convenience, not to mention pure power depending on how much you invest into your PC.

But I currently use my gaming pc as my "SUPER" Console that I have hooked up to my 42" Tv with an HDMI input with my gaming keyboard and mouse on a lapdesk while I recline in my comfy chair. While I have defiance open (with Sweet Fx to make it look even nicer) I also have firefox open (where I'm posting this right now) and a document that I was working on while I'm chatting with my Planetside 2 clan. In my opinion if you can spend a couple extra hundred, a pc is well worth it.

But yeah consoles had some nice games back in the day but now it's a different story. now they try to be more like a pc (in my opinion) instead of just being a console with games designed to be fun within the limitations of a console. In my opinion Pc is the way to go. Sure a console may good for those who cannot afford a top of the line rig. But that kind of rig is unnecessary and mainly for enthusiasts. a mid range rig shouldn't be more than next gen console and about the same performance if you already own a computer than you already have most everything you should need save for maybe a graphics card.

Sure pcs have upgrades and that kinf od stuff but Consoles is about fun. when i play console i remember old games i used to play, and psn store has some classic games from ps1 one on sale and i like that.

- RawexDedicated in DefianceJul 19 2013 at 1:19pm via desktop app No one can ever give you a code anymore, they are all expired now and cannot be used, even if you redeem them the prize wont change. You should head over to the Steam offers, even Steam offered the game cheaper than you ever could get it down to with the use of codes, sadly enough. Steam offer was 16 Euros for Deluxe edition and with codes you cant get lower than 17 Euros i think, so in the end its not worth it, Steam owned everyone lols :S It's been on discount twice now, if you're lucky it might come a third time, but this Reward is over and cannot be redeemed, because all codes are useless/expired =) I hope that helped, good luck with it ;)

There was the Raptr pet in RIFT, plus various hats that don't drop or anything in game. So, I'm sure some unique stuff is coming, just for now they're probably starting small to drum up interest in Raptr with the Defiance community before they start with the really cool unique stuff.

I took a closer look at your sessions and it appears you have added manual sessions for the Xbox 360 version, and the rest of the sessions were recorded off your Xbox.com Profile. The way detection and tracking works for Raptr, there is little chance that time you have played in a game will be recorded on the wrong platform. With Xbox 360 tracking, we look at what your xbox.com profile reports you as playing. With PC games we detect your instillation of the game with the Raptr Desktop App (or look to your Steam profile) and record time based off that. It's really unlikely that these could get mixed up.

I deleted the Xbox one so I will not get confused. Since my Defience is not traced through Steam will it still add the hours played properly do should I Continue to add hours?

Adding the PC version with out Steam will not import your hours. We have no way to scan, detect and update your account with previously played hours with out Steam or Xfire.

If you bought Defiance through Steam, you could import the previously played hours to your Raptr profile. We can not import your hours unless they were already recorded with Steam or Xfire.

    - SiekobillyHardcore in DefianceJul 8 2013 at 12:24pm @Hells_Assailent If you go to your Defiance Trion account page, and go to the Transaction History do you see "RAPTR_TIER_1_PACK"? If you don't, try applying the code again. If you do see it, and it never showed up in the Defiance store for you to claim then submit a ticket.

ZydrateElite in DefianceJul 6 2013 at 4:36pm Regrettably the outfit which takes like 70 hours of gametime or something, is just a recolored Harmony Preacher. Disappointing, because the Preacher outfit can be gotten in a single run of a Co-Op map (If you have a map to all the recorders). I wear it anyway in hopes someone will be like "Whoa, where did you get that?" No such luck yet.
