As a full time Graduate Student I can't justify buying myself new games very often, and my Christmas list "Witcher 2" entry unfortunately wasn't fulfilled last year. What I'm getting to though I suppose is in regards to the story aspects, as I'm a huge story guy. I recently found out that it follows a series of books, so my question ultimately is: Would you recommend reading any of the books to get some back story before starting? I like PC gaming but I doubt I'll buy the first in the series of games, so starting at Witcher 2 and moving to 3 should I read any of the books first? Also, would it be detrimental to just start at Witcher 3? I'd prefer to get the whole experience, but if there isn't a ton of continuity from 2 to 3 I may as well start at 3. Thanks for your time reading, the trailers (and game!) look terrific. Looking forward to hearing back.

Books obviously aren't necessary, but if you will read them, you will be able to see another, much deeper layer of the story. It's definitely worth it. In Witcher 2 you made some main characters like Roche or Iorveth which were merely mentioned in books. Are there any other strong personalities from A. Sapkowski saga you have planned for us? I know we are all very impatient for the new Witcher to come out, but there is no need to work in neckbreaking speed, make it finished and awesome (as allways), I think we can wait a bit longer ;)

Like Is there a bad ending, good ending, normal? Like the way of Witcher 2? And I was wondering if you did that or not, having one single epic ending to end all of things and differences come to one thing? 2- Are we going to have that ability of connecting the 2 previous games with this one to see a little bit of the very late consequences of our choices in Witcher 1/2? Like what you did with W2? 3- Please, pretty please sell the music soundtrack in iTunes, I bought W1 and didn't get the music CD along with it, I was hoping I can find it online_legally! So, I'm sure you would do it right, release the music online! 4- Is there going to be videos, I mean like music videos that promote the game? that would be epic! 5- Are we going to have flashbacks at Geralt's old life, childhood, parents...certain things that were unexplained! Like a different side of Geralt? 6- Are we going to have the ability to customize Geralt's armor and clothes? It would be cute to go to a store in different cities and buy things like that for him, like different coats for Winter or such things like that! When CD Projekt contacted with Andrzej Sapkowski in order to gain rights for the game, company had already great business position and reputation as PC games distributor. CD Projekt basically changed game market in Poland by lowering prices, making full Polish localizations and awesome collector editions. Also these guys were always fantasy/sci-fi fans, so Sapkowski knew that they would probably make something good. Or at least decent. Fun fact: in second half of the 90's, Metropolis Software House (another Polish studio) was developing The Witcher - action-adventure game (with RPG elements) based on Sapkowski's world! Unfortunately game was canceled.   - IvanTheChemistOct 22 2013 at 9:11pm I did not mention any RPGS, simply because there are non that have that much impact - sure there are FF, Kingdom hearts and so on, but Dragon age is one of the announced titles and has close to no hype. It is scheduled for the latter half of 2014, that is why I put more emphasis on titles that come before, because they can actually show their gameplay and everything to the gamers before the Witcher even gets the chance to do so. Some of them - on next gen even. 24/7 chat is a bit too much, but having a message board where every day you answer one new question about the Witcher 3 will be awesome. Almost as much as videos. I like videos *_*

On top of that we are expanding the universe by adding the board game or the recently announced comic books so that the people who are into other media than video games can also get the feel of the witcher world.

My only question is how will the world map reflect this attention to detail? Will we be able to traverse Nilfgaard? Will we be confined to a few select kingdoms?

My question is, will there be someplace where we will be able to edit decisions from previous games to import to the The Witcher 3… in a sense like the announced “dragon age keep”? I feel this would really be excellent to fine tune those details we neglected on the many playthroughs of Witcher 1 and 2. Because I must say that at this time I’m thinking I need new playthrough to import to Witcher 3, just to have almost all my choices the way I wanted. Like Reply 2nd question I know that you guys have already announced that witcher 3 will not have multiplayer. But since you also said that cyberpunk will have it, can we expect a witcher dlc with this wenn red engine supports it? It would be great just to have the ability to play some co-op missions with friends, even if only just has dandelion
